Mentor Request

The Mentoring program exists to help referees in their development and journey in the pathway. This is intended for ENY Grassroots Referee licence holders looking to improve their game. This is not intended for Regional Referee licence holders and above.

Process

A Referee can request a Mentor to come to their game, evaluate their performance and provide feedback. This will include:

A Pre-game chat
Short discussion at halftime
Post-game debrief

In addition, a Development & Guidance form will be submitted by the Referee Mentor, approved by the SDA and sent to the candidate as a follow-up.

Cost

A Referee requesting to be mentored will be charged according to the game fee of the match.

An invoice will be issued when a Referee Mentor is assigned. Payment must be made within 48 hours or the assignment will be cancelled.

Guidelines

Requests should be made as far in advance as possible to increase your chances of getting a Mentor.
Once the Referee Mentor is assigned, it is your responsibility to notify them and the State Director of Assessment (SDA) in the event of any changes to your game assignment (status, date, time, location etc.).
