AYSO Transfer

Welcome to US Soccer refereeing and your interest in refereeing US Soccer affiliated games in Eastern New York!

Getting licenced

You must be AYSO Intermediate level referee or higher to be able to do this transfer process.

Anyone seeking AYSO cross certification for the 2027 registration year (July 1st, 2026 – June 30th, 2027) will need to:

• Fill out this form: AYSO-USSF Cross Certification Agreement including the signature of the AYSO Regional Commissioner.
• Create a US Soccer Learning Center account (if you don’t have one already).
• Email questions+ayso@enysreferee.org to request to be invited to the AYSO course on the Learning Center. In the same email, please include a photo of the existing uniforms/gear you already have so we can provide guidance on any additional needs upfront.

After licencing

Following your licence being issued on the Learning Center (you’ll get an email certificate), let us know and the SRC will assist in:

• attend a Zoom session to get acclimated with referee protocols in ENY,
• attend a field session to get a quick refresher and receive your badge,
• onboarding onto the assigning system and
• introduced to the relevant assignor(s).

In the meantime,

• ensure you have the appropriate uniforms complying with the US Soccer referee dress code. The ENY Starter referee package is also available for purchase here (other manufacturers are available/possible)
• join a local Association to get support in your referee journey

For any questions, reach out to questions+ayso@enysreferee.org.
